The SCAL program also provides a Medical Equipment Loan Closet. We receive donated wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs, potty chairs, hospital beds, canes, crutches and modified toilet seats. We then loan this equipment out to folks who cannot afford to purchase this much needed equipment. Usually when the family no longer needs it they bring it back to be loan out again. We also receive donated soft goods like adult diapers, and bed/chair pads. These are available on a monthy basis only because the supply is limited. We do have some diabetic supplies and wound care supplies on a limited basis also. If you are interested in donating an item to the Medical Equipment Loan Closet please be sure the item has all of its parts and is clean. These donations are received at the Food Pantry door located on the east side of the 600 West 5th Street building.
